Hello there!

Hi! I'm Micah Fischer, a second-year graphic and web design student at Grand Canyon University and an Assistant Graphic Designer at Grand Canyon Education. I'm also the Web Design Manager at ASGCU and occasionally take on freelance projects.

I've been a designer since high school, and in 2019 I won 1st place in Web Design at Arizona's Future Business Leader's of America conference. I'm also a certified Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA 98-375).

In addition to pursuing my bachelor's degree, I've been fortunate enough to work with a number of businesses and educational institutions including Grand Canyon University, West-MEC, NCLA-CTE, and U Rock Girl.

ASGCU • Web Design Manager (March 2021 - Present)
GCE • Assistant Graphic Designer (September 2020-Present)

At Grand Canyon Education I work together with a team of student and full-time designers to produce advertising and marketing campaigns/materials for a variety of clients including on-campus enterprises and schools/businesses within the community. Additionally, I collaborate with full-time designers and industry professionals to develop and improve my business and design skillsets.

West-MEC • Professional Development Intern (April 2019- Nov 2020)
As a Professional Development Intern at West-MEC, I assisted in setting up and preparing professional development workshops. I utilized industry-standard design software to develop engaging slideshows and presentation materials. I developed and maintained spreadsheets that were used to track teacher's completion of Professional Development coursework. I also helped update and streamline the West-MEC Professional Development online registration portal.
West-MEC Central FBLA • Chapter President (March 2019 - November 2019)

As the Chapter President of West-MEC Coding FBLA, I was responsible for managing and overseeing all chapter operations. I planned and organized FBLA chapter events and leadership institute lessons. I was also responsible for managing FBLA's day-to-day operations and helped prepare junior FBLA chapter members to be successful at the Regional, State, and National Leadership Conference.
